Patents
Perspective-preserving seamless application switching
US 12222215 | Issued Feb 11, 2025 | See patent
Techniques for perspective-preserving seamless application switching are disclosed. A system may display a first interface using a first application. The first interface includes interface elements representing a plurality of objects. The system may detect a zoom-in command, received by the first application, requesting a particular zoom level for a first interface element, corresponding to a first object in the first plurality of objects.
Dynamic user interface mode selection based on physical activity detection
US 12099668 | Issued Sept 27, 2024 | See patent
The techniques for improving the convenience of activating different computing applications on a mobile computing device are disclosed. Sensors associated with a mobile computing device (e.g., accelerometers, gyroscopes, light sensors, microphones, image capture sensors) may receive inputs of various physical conditions to which the mobile computing device is being subjected.
Search architecture for hierarchical data using metadata-defined relationships
US 12072878 | Issued Aug 27, 2024 | See patent
The techniques generate a flattened search index from a hierarchical data set, allowing search queries to return results without directly analyzing the hierarchy. Structures enable query results to be returned efficiently, with hierarchical context provided by overlaying or displaying results alongside the hierarchical representation.

Semantic detail selection for object resizing
US 11275493 | Issued Mar 15, 2022 | See patent
Techniques for displaying content based on interface scale are disclosed. A system displays multiple elements within an interface, each representing different content sets. A user-selected zoom level determines the display size of each element. When a user selects a specific zoom level, the system calculates an appropriate display size for an element associated with a particular content set. If a first data set in this content set ranks higher than a second, the system displays the first data set within the element, potentially excluding the second based on the display size.
Craving input and support system
US 10679516 | Issued Jun 9, 2020 | See patent
A craving control device comprising a housing, a craving input actuator supported by the housing, a wireless communicator supported by the housing, and a controller is provided. The craving input actuator can be configured to obtain information from a user pertaining to a timing, frequency, or intensity of a craving. The controller can be operatively connected to the craving input actuator and the wireless communicator to communicate craving information received by the craving input actuator via the wireless communicator to a device external to the housing. The device external to the housing can be a personal communication device. The housing can be sized and configured to be enclosed in the user's hand and or to be placed in a pocket of the user's clothing. Methods for using the craving control devices are also provided.
System and method for displaying digital imagery on a digital imagery display locket
US 10333575 | Issued Jun 25, 2019 | See patent
A digital imagery display locket includes a locket case having a housing and an openable cover attached to the housing, a display configured to display digital imagery on the display secured to the housing and configured to be covered by the cover in a closed position, a processor disposed in the housing and configured to communicate with the display, a memory disposed in the housing and configured to store data used by the processor to create the digital imagery on the display, and a wireless transceiver disposed in the housing and configured to wirelessly receive the data and to communicate the data to the processor.
Drug delivery methods and systems
US 10232156 | Issued Mar 19, 2019 | See patent
A two-part bioactive agent delivery system, the system including a disposable part comprising an agent reservoir, a bolus chamber, the volume of the bolus chamber being less than the volume of the agent reservoir, an agent outlet, and a valve having a first position communicating the agent reservoir with the bolus chamber and a second position communicating the bolus chamber with the outlet; and a reusable part including a valve driver, a power source and control electronics, the control electronics being adapted to control the valve driver to actuate the valve to deliver bioactive agent from the agent reservoir to the agent outlet; the system further having a spring extending between the agent reservoir piston and a surface of the reusable part or of the disposable part to pressurize the agent reservoir when the spring is compressed and the agent reservoir contains a quantity of bioactive agent.

Computer-implemented system and method for electronic personal identity verification
US 9111085 | Issued Sep 21, 2013 | See patent
A system and method for electronic personal identity verification is provided. A user is registered with an authentication service, which includes providing to the service a biometric signature associated with the user and information personally known to the user. Identification data that includes the biometric signature is sent from an identification device worn by the user to a user device associated with the user. An input personally known to the user is received into the user device. Encrypted credentials are sent from the user device to the authentication service. The received encrypted credentials are compared to the biometric signature and the information provided to the authentication service. A claims token is sent from the authentication service to the user device upon the encrypted credentials matching the biometric signature and the information provided to the authentication service. An application is accessed via a third party provider using the claims token.
